Eternally Waiting

I am waiting. Eternally waiting for the new seasons of TV. There are a few things I can't wait to see: Nip/Tuck, The O.C., and Scrubs. I don't get the time to watch too much TV but ever since I have been doing nothing but working, my after hours are pretty dull without some TV stimulation. I average about 4 hours of TV daily now so it has become a fairly relaxing and regular routine for me now that I have a TV to watch. I can't wait for their fall premiere.

I have one week left. One week from today and I will be picking up 006 and we will be driving back across the country to the bible-belting-chic-fil-a-eatin-please-and-thank-you part of the country. As much as I have had a great time out here I am excited to get back to the familiar life. I am expecting come September and I couldn't be more excited. Bailey (Our family boxer) is due to have a litter in late August/ Early September. I am planning on keeping one of the puppies. I am SO super excited. Mom called me the other day and said that the dog had blown up like a watermelon and I produced the biggest damn smile you have ever seen. She is a purebred boxer and if anyone is looking for a fantastic family pet then let me know. They are a great breed and I don't know if I could ever go back to another.

Separated at birth?

I know that I don't post much or even very often but this was too hard to pass up. I have a daily routine that occurs every morning:

1. Wake up @ 5:30am
2. Get ready for work
3. In the car by 6:30am
4. At work at 6:50am
5. Clock in and ready news online (includes celebrity gossip and CNN)

Today I found an amazing comparison and I had to blog about the similarities. You can see that the celebrity 'Paris Hilton' has a striking resemblance with an Emu. HA HA HA! She has always had a strange look to her and the people have finally figured it out.

bridal party

bridal party
Originally uploaded by heidi703.

There are FINALLY photos of the wedding I was in back in May. Ian006 was my escort and you can even find us in the group shots, though looking for us is like looking for Waldo. The images are pulled from the web so don't judge me for quality... they aren't THAT bad. I have a very special relationship with Jessica and her family, and her mother and sister would have been proud to be there. She was a BEAUTIFUL bride.

I find comfort in music

Not Ready To Make Nice Lyrics
Dixie Chicks

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

I’m through with doubt
There’s nothing left for me to figure out
I’ve paid a price
And I’ll keep paying

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I know you said
Can’t you just get over it
It turned my whole world around
And I kind of like it

I made my bed and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets and I don’t mind sayin’
It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they’d write me a letter
Sayin’ that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

Finding.....

Findin' A Good Man :: Danielle Peck

We got a bucket of Corona,
Enough stories to last all night,
About the trials and tribulations,
Of findin' Mr. Right:
Of findin' a good man.

Here's to the liars and the cheaters and the cold mistreaters;
To the Momma's boys who can't make a stand.
Here's to the superficial players;
The "I love ya" too-soon-sayers;
If you hear me girls, raise your hand:
Let's have a toast:
Here's to findin' a good man.

Blind dates an' horror stories;
Pushy guys and fast movers.
Let's dedicate this girl's night out,
To big-talkers; bad losers,
It's so hard findin' a good man.

Here's to the liars and the cheaters and the cold mistreaters;
To the Momma's boys who can't make a stand.
Here's to the superficial players;
The "I love ya" too-soon-sayers;
If you hear me girls, raise your hand:
Let's have a toast:
Here's to findin' a good man.

Julie, I know you want perfection;
Angie, you want a listener.
Lisa, your list is gettin' long,
And girls, you know me:I just want a good kisser.

Here's to the liars and the cheaters and the cold mistreaters;
To the Momma's boys who can't make a stand.
Here's to the superficial players;
The "I love ya" too-soon-sayers;
If you hear me girls, raise your hand:
Let's have a toast;
Let's have a toast:
Here's to findin' a good man.

Super Sepia-ness

I feel retarded admitting this but I just figured out how to apply a sepia filter over photos...(no laughing John)

I love this photo. To me it really feels like a road trip just by looking at it.

PUBLIC POTTY!

I hate public restrooms. Seriously I despise the thought of having to go to the bathroom with someone else in the room. I intern don't like to hear other people going to the bathroom. You would be amazed at what great lengths I go to the facilities ALONE. I will out wait you like you wouldn't believe. If there are two women in the restroom and they both have to "go" there will almost always be a challenging silence meaning "I can hold it longer than you can because I want to use this restroom BY MYSELF". Having participated in this little game many times I can assure you that it exists. Today... About twelve minutes ago I was a participant. When I walked into the restroom I didn't think anyone else was in there until 2 or 3 minutes later I heard her shuffling around in the stall next to me. I was shocked that I had almost been tricked. But I totally won. Maybe this uncomfort has something to do with the fact that women are more private creatures than men are. Men stand in plain sight of eachother while "going"... I would die if I had to do that. NO THANK YOU!

This is what I am currently working on. It is the model for the internet cafe for the Las Vegas World Market Furniture Show 2006. I think its pretty cool stuff.... this program is kinda hard to learn but i'll get the hang of it. soon.

Time for a quiz? I think so.

Your Stripper Song Is

Closer by Nine Inch Nails

"You let me violate you, you let me desecrate you
You let me penetrate you, you let me complicate you
Help me I broke apart my insides, help me I?ve got no
Soul to tell"

When you dance, it's a little scary - and a lot sexy.

You Are The Sun

You represent the best of life - vitality, success, and and truth.
You tend to have a strong, centered, balanced personality.
Inspiration and discovery are your fortes. You are very mentally strong.
A talented mind, you tend to excel at math, philosophy, and music.

Your fortune:

As well as you have done in the past, the future is going to be filled with more success.
A new creative project is coming your way. Feed it, and it will grow into something huge.
Great riches, recognition, prosperity, or happiness is coming your way.
And it's possible that a fantastic vacation, or a new baby, is coming sooner than you think.

Arty Kid

Whether you were a drama freak or an emo poet, you definitely were expressive and unique.

You're probably a little less weird these days - but even more talented!

Your Theme Song is Back in Black by AC/DC

"Back in black, I hit the sack,
I've been too long, I'm glad to be back"

Things sometimes get really crazy for you, and sometimes you have to get away from all the chaos.
But each time you stage your comeback, it's even better than the last!

my favorite... the flamingo hotel and casino

Birthday bitterness

To me birthdays are just another day to feel old. They are nothing to make a big fuss about. But I absolutely LOVE when other people have birthdays. I get to go out shopping and attempt to buy something that they could possibly like. I guess I just don't like my birthday. I'm not a fan of the birthday song (cringed just thinking about it), I don't like to make decisions on what to do, I hate opening gifts in front of other people and I don't like to be the center of attention. I would much reather have an intimate close friends only gathering to rid the pressure. So overall I am not the prime candidate for the whole birthday extravaganza. I think at this point (my) birthdays should just be forgotten and wiped off of the calendars and facebook...

The best birthday present this year was having my parents come to Vegas. I had a BLAST with my mom, dad, and brother. We stayed at Mandalay Bay on the strip and I would have pictures for you to look at but I have already hit my limit on flickr. I got some AWESOME night shots of the flickering lights of the city and most of the hotels.

This will be my first 4th of July EVER to be spent alone. The family that I am staying with decided to go to a small gathering of their friends but I already feel so out of place that I just decided to sit this one out. There is really only one place that I would like to be and it isn't here. But I guess this will give me some time for myself.

Happy holidays to you all.
