Living in the shadow of someone elses dream....

I know I have been missing in action for awhile but this girl has been so busy. I need a twin, ya know... someone else to help get things done. I had to start over on my corporate design logo yesterday and thanks to my *design team* for kicking around a few company names we finally came up with one that actually works. I will post the final design later this weekend. I need help with last leg of production... I need to know where(local) I can get a mug with my printed logo on it.I need to have somewhere local because the whole thing is due on Monday. more to come......

My boss called my father

alright....I am at the office. Thats right. They asked me to come in but only after I emailed them asking if it would be in my best interest to find employment elsewhere. I emailed the woman directly above me (on the Freeman food chain) and then my BIG boss emailed me back... went something like this:

Can you come in on Thursday?

We have some things lined up, and I have what looks like it will be an on-going project with Corporate to help clean up our sales system…

I only realized that I had gotten this email after my father called my cell phone while I was in class. I walked out of the lab and answered my phone to hear my dad on the other end of the line and Papa Zim asked: "Hey Big Boss Man emailed me today and are you working on Thursday?". "I hadn't heard anything" I said, but I guess I should check my work email.

I understand that my dad is a big name in the trade show industry and that him and my current boss work on the same shows sometimes.... but if you need me to come into the office then I would really appreciate you not calling my father to tell me. Not only do I think it is highly inappropriate but slightly unprofessional.

Homecoming mess

This past weekend was my baby sisters senior Homecoming dance. Now if that isn't exhausting to think about then I don't know what is. My senior Homecoming dance was not too long ago...(2001). (I think my then date now has a three year old daughter.) But the torch has been passed down to the younger Zimmerman Kin.

I just thought the whole pinning of the flowers is SO funny to watch... so I posted a little snipit of the laughs. Now onto what is going on... My boss told me last week that they really don't have much for me to do so she sent me home early last Thursday and said that they would call me back when they needed help. I didn't go in on Friday and I didn't go in today because she didn't call. I don't like having a job that I don't go to and inturn don't make any money. This is not making Heidi happy. My classes at the moment are kicking my rear end up and down. Fun Pig (my current painting teacher) continues to daily mock me in class and somehow finds it funny. dunno... life is what it is right now.
