I haven't really had a home in about 2 years. I have been moving back and forth from Savannah to Atlanta, BACK to Savannah to Atlanta again and then out west to Las Vegas. As much as I hate to uproot myself and move I think this Nevada decision was one of the best for me. I miss my Family and friends like you wouldn't believe but this is part of MY time to do some things that I want to do. Call it selfish if you want but I think its a little more along the lines of figuring out what I want and where I want to be. This whole corporate job thing is very different for me.... I don't take it home. I am so used and trained to function in the academic atmosphere where you have a deadline and you do whatever it takes to complete that project, including taking it home and staying up until 4am to work on it. At my job I leave everything in the office. If it doesn't get finished by 4pm then I will just do it tomorrow. I will admit that I am a work-a-holic. I'm ok with that. It keeps me busy. If I have down time I have no idea what to do with myself. I have a hard time relaxing. But back to what I was saying... I have been "squatting" in the last three places that I have lived, not really growing in that space. I have just been waiting to go home or for the next thing to come along, and that's no way to live. While I was living in Savannah I never threw out the boxes from when I moved in. I just never got comfortable there. I'm not very comfortable out here but I think I understand what I have a pattern of doing. I'm ready to make a home for myself... A real home, somewhere I feel like myself. Just a thought.

My parents are Veags-bound
My body hurts. I went out on Lake Mead yesterday with the family that I am staying with in Las Vegas. I don't ever remember tubing to be that strenuous on your body. I feel like my arms could fall off right now. But it was fun to be able to do that. I woke up late this morning so I'm a bit off my A game in the office today.
MY FAMILY COMES TO VISIT ON FRIDAY!!! I have never been so excited to see my family. Only my mom, dad, and youngest brother are coming. My 17 yr old sister and my 18 yr old brother are staying home because they "have to work". What teenager HAS to work? My mom said she was nervous about leaving them home and I told her that she should be. She is leaving her most socially active children home alone for four days. Both of them are planning a party but they aren't planning them together... That just seems kinda dumb. That's how you get caught. You get lazy, and sloppy with your plan and that gets you caught. But if you have the nosy neighbors that we have then they are bound to get caught. I just have to laugh and say "make sure you keep all of the bottle caps in one central location, because having mom and dad find ONE would be curtains for you".

Holy 107 degrees Batman:
Today it is supposed to be 107 degrees by 2pm. I'm not so sure how I am going to be able to handle this "extreme" temperature. Although I am sitting in a slightly cold office all day I still have to make my journey through the parking lot and into the furnace I call my car. Black Jeep, Black interior, and 107 degrees. Not a very good combo if you ask me. I don't do too well when there are "extreme" temperatures, I am upset when its too cold, I'm very irritable when its too hot and neither moods are enjoyable to be around as you could imagine.
JUST FOUND OUT....The client loved my design and the want to use it as their show "look". THIS is awesome.

Day 3 as an intern
I am currently sitting in my office (cubicle) getting ready to begin my 9 hr day with "filler work" as my boss called it. He wants me to color correct some photos for him. ok everybody get excited... I GET MY BADGE TODAY!!! Yay. So now I don't have to wait around the front door until someone else comes by to smuggle me in the building....
5 hours later....
So I FINALLY got my badge made this afternoon and I look rediculious, but I am kinda proud of it. I made a meter board today that is going to be used in a furniture trade show this August. I like the fact that the things that I design are made into a 3-d space and object.
4 hrs later...
Work is done for the day. I miss my iPod, I want to listen to it so bad during office hours. Freeman has an internet block on online radio so listening to my fav radio stations back home is not an option. Oh well. I'll figure something out.

The Big Texan
ok... no judging please. I do NOT have access to photoshop so these are RAW photos. I am used to touching up photos with color balancing and such things. but over the next couple months you get unedited photos....this is the ONLY time I will do this because it goes against my better judgement. It was SO much fun. I had an amazing time. I have more photos on my flickr of our cross country road trip.

Vegas FINALLY!
ok. Las Vegas was my destination. I made it here yesterday. I am trying to get onto the family computer to load all of our cross country pictures but I can't seem to gete the internet to load as fast as I would like. So far I have gotten lost about a million times, I had a flat tire this afternoon in the middle of traffic, I took Eeyore to the airport which was upsetting enough, discovered that my bank doesn't exist in the west so I had to find a new bank today, met some people that I will be working with, I sat at the drug screening office for two hours today to take a drug test for work (I met all kinds of people there!), and I also had a minor freak out like I do when I feel a bit overwhelmed. I think I may have a small anxiety problem.
Anxiety is described as:
A person who suffers from generalized anxiety tends to worry about big and little issues and feels uncomfortable physical symptoms throughout most of the day.
The most common worries are the small day-to-day concerns, like arriving on time or completing enough projects during the day. Other prominent concerns are health and illness, work or school performance, money and family.
Some Anxiety symptoms are:
chronic worry and anxiousness about events that are unlikely to occur
inability to shut off constant anxious thoughts
feelings of dread
restlessness and inability to relax
anxiety or panic attacks
lack of energy
muscular tension, aches or soreness
stomach problems (nausea or diarrhea)
headaches
sweating or hot flashes
dizziness or lightheadedness
insomnia (trouble falling asleep or staying asleep)
shakiness or trembling
concentration problems
irritability
startles easily
avoidance
procrastination
unrealistic assessment of problems
so thats all for now but there is more to come soon after i can get my photos online. Hugs and Kisses for all!!

I'm FULLLLLLLLLL
I'M FINISHED!!!
Wow.... I am done with Savannah and school for a few months. I can't wait to to nothing, but I can promise you that I will probably be bored by monday.I guess it's time for me to do some things that I have wanted to do for awhile. It's time to design for myself and not for my teachers or clients. DAMN it feels good to be free.
for now:
1. finish packing my shit
2. play on the net til sarah arrives for Mimosas
3. Wait around for mom to get here with the pick-up
4. say goodbye to Savannah
