Dear Inconsiderate Computer Whore,

OK.

There is an unwritten rule when entering a computer based studio class. You pick ONE computer for the quarter. Each Mac has its own work folder for students to save their work in progress, when you get on a different computer you are stopping someone else from finishing their work. It is part of the Lab ethic and consideration. Screw you guy working on my machine, go find your own home because you are encroaching on mine. Instead, I am going to ask that you let me plug up my flash drive and use three minutes of OUR TIME to load and save my work. I hope you are miserable while you wait. Ass.

I'm done.

Little Sister

I am coming to terms with the fact that my mom is more often than not, right. Yes... I am slowly throwing in the towel, I'm tired of fighting the inevitable. She is smarter. She has been around the block a few more times and knows a few more tricks and truths. I called her this morning after receiving my CUTE Valentines day FedEx box (inside contained a variety of my favorite candy and a walmart giftcard), she fills me in on all the juicy family gossip, and the conversation turns to my baby sister and her boyfriend. They constantly fight. Last week they had a fight that ended with my mailbox in pieces and scattered all over the yard. Everyother week they breakup and get back together, they are 16 years old... That's expected. What kinda seeped into my ears was a comment that mom made... "They don't have anything to fight about, They don't have any money, they don't have any kids, they don't have any bills, and they aren't married... There is no reason for them to fight". After thinking about that remark there is not reason to fight, granted there are more factors in relationships but basically they are young and need to just enjoy life before they get the money, bills, and kids... Just made me want to re-evaluate my life and priorities a little bit.

After reading that back to myself I realize that post didn't really go anywhere but I'm glad I acknowledged it.

get a load of this shit.......Don't know if you remember the post about the neighborhood summer swim league letter that went out to everyone and just mentioning that they were looking for someone to take my position, well they have continued to send me emails. Maybe I am just on some master list of names but I am the VERY LAST person on the contacts roster... Not hard to miss. I just kinda feel as though they are kinda rubbing it in my face. Anyway heres the letter:

Hey everyone!

This is the first of many emails that you will be receiving from us. For those of you who DON’T know, Candice Tiner and I are the new coordinators for the Heritage Oaks Torpedoes for 2006. This year will be marked by many new things, new coaches, new t-shirts, new swim caps, new website, two new coordinators who are learning as we go along and a set of new coaches as well.

This email is just to give those of you that I don’t see on a regular basis some upcoming dates to mark on your calendar. The main and most important date is regular registration. Our registration for Swim Team will be Saturday, March 11, 2006 from 9:30 until 1:30 in the Heritage Oaks Clubhouse right next to the pool. We encourage as many people as possible to come to THIS registration date to fill out forms, meet the coaches, buy your t-shirts and swim caps and sign up for your volunteer duties. This is the most comprehensive day you will find in the whole season. We are planning on holding a NEW PARENT meeting (or just any parent that may have a question) during this registration time to explain the policies, duties and other important information. Please try to attend sometime during this registration time. We will also have the team suit available for purchase if you are new or need a new size.

This year we are trying to meet our goal of 100 swimmers. In order to come up with this number, we will need all of our returning swimmers and some new ones. As always, we are in desperate need of boys ages 10-17. As an incentive, if you bring a friend with you to registration who is new to the team, you will receive 10% off your registration fees (boys AND girls!). Summer league is a time for friendship and fun – so let’s spread it around.

Candice and I have been extremely busy trying to come up with new fund raisers for this year and two of them are the purchasing of t-shirts AT registration (rather than ordering them like we have done in the past) and swim caps with our name. Any money raised/earned, whether it be from the t-shirts, caps or even concessions during the season, goes directly into our coffers and ours to do as we like. Sally and Sara did such a great job last year and left us with extra money. With that we have been able to purchase new backstroke stanchions and pylons, make new backstroke flags, buy a pace clock and various other tools that the coaches will use to help your kids get better. I think you will like the new look!

Our main goal this year is to purchase new starting blocks. It may not happen for this swim season, but we are trying to come up with all sorts of fun fund raisers to try and do it. So please keep this in mind as a goal for the season - second only to having fun and being a real team.
(I had those starting blocks made because they didn't think we needed them at first)

Our first meet will be on June 1, 2006. This is a Thursday night and we will swim every Thursday in June. Friday mornings we will have our traditional doughnuts and ribbons and will hopefully have some fun relay games for the team.

That is all the information I have for now. Please watch your email inbox as Candice and I will start sending you information as we get it. Our next announcement will be the unveiling of our new website. This will be an invaluable tool for the team where you will be able to find out all the information you need day or night.

Thanks, and see you on deck,

Kit Robertson

Maybe I am just a little bit bitter still. I am sorry but when my dear friend kelly and I first started coaching that team together we made so many improvements. We started winning meets. And for these kids it was unheard of for them to get blue ribbons. The kids just got a glimmer of hope and I think theyt liked it... I mean who doesn't like winning? but over the past three years that I worked with them they had gotten better and better. Its really not that I was planning to come back but maybe the fact that they didn't even ask... thats what kinda hurt. but or well... on to bigger and better things. right?

Nine fingers typing and one finger pointed at you.

What is blogworthy anymore? Is there anything new, eventful, mind boggling, or even mildly fantastic to write about? Why do I need to try and write about something monumental? What's wrong with real life? What's wrong with writing about my life? My life may at times may be mundane, silly and boring but I feel like I know how to spruce up a blog space. My blog is what it is.... MY BLOG. I can't stand the bloggers out there who judge the rest of us as if we have no right to blog about "average life". I have too much to do to sit down and blog about philosophy, the environment, astrology, and politics. I'm just not the same type of blogger that you are apparently. And that's ok. There is a blogging hierarchy here... We all know it but nobody wants to talk about it. Its like having the biggest suede pink f*cking elephant in the room and we all just wanna blog about the carpet. I reserve my right to blog about any Gdamn subject I want to. So screw you over pretentious blogging asshole.

I didn't start this entry as an attack but it quickly turned that way. I just remembered reading a blog about this guy who was pissed because he didn't want people blogging that had nothing GENIUS to say. I resent that. I just don't understand what's wrong with normalcy and being average.
